Latest News From the Front

Hey, Tom Brady. You're Bad.

Update by: Tavrobel. Sunday November 15, 2009 at 10:51 PM.

But Peyton Manning is good at football.

Either way, EoFF is always available to provide the newest updates on anything Final Fantasy related.  In this case, we are happy to announce that this past Veteran's Day, we unveiled the new Super Mario RPG section.  Though there was not much fanfare, there's nothing bad about free stuff, right?

Digital Love

Update by: Tavrobel. Saturday November 14, 2009 at 06:43 PM.

Famitsu has released upgraded versions of the images that have been shown on the internet regarding Alexander, Hope, and Chocobos.

Additionally, one could unlock a special item for FFXIII on XBox Live by retweeting a message.  This was an announcement yesterday, but some of us were busy playing Modern Warfare 2.

In case you missed the big giant announcement yesterday, there is now a YouTube video with the FFXIII announcement.  I for one, am not looking forward to the music.  Not only is Uematsu not involved, but Leona Lewis is.  Someone, please tell me why I didn't watch The Graduate play at Ottobar this past Tuesday.  This is musical catastrophe.  This is like fighting that FFX boss in the arena.  Problem is, I am not an overpowered FFX character.

March 9th, 2010

Update by: JKTrix. Friday November 13, 2009 at 12:03 PM.

That right there is the European and American release date of Final Fantasy 13. Check out the announcement video on the official site.

This is a very fast turnaround for the localization, as this is less than 3 months after the Japanese release. British singer Leona Lewis will be providing the theme song for the game.

Not Beta, More Like Gamma

Update by: Tavrobel. Thursday November 12, 2009 at 06:49 PM.

As it turns out, the FFXIV code to be found is not access to any pre-release content, but is the promotional code for a secret item.  One would have hoped for an equation to calculate the entropy of black holes instead, but we will do what is currently possible.  Instead, it may be known that two new classes have been revealed.

Additionally, it would appear that FFXIII will feature equipment changes: new scans show Lightning with a weapon other than the one that has been featured.  A "gunblade 2.0", or so to speak, though this is no guarantee that this weapon will be the second weapon upgrade available for her in the game.

FFXIV? In my FFXIII?

Update by: Tavrobel. Tuesday November 10, 2009 at 11:09 PM.

While a clever analogy could be made between this certain revelation and nature's only cure for menstruation (pregnancy) could be made, it would be wildly offensive toward both genders; one for mocking a biological necessity (females), and one for belitting the plight of those who suffer its ill effects the most (males).

Instead, we can report that access to pre-release content for FFXIV may be made available with the purchase of FFXIII.  Japan only, as shown in the newest Shonen Jump.  Speaking of which, the same magazine also revealed that

A) Alexander is as machinely as ever
B) chocobos have health bars

In other news, the SE president has noted that the "final touches" are being added to the Western versions of FFXIII.  Also, something big is supposedly going down on Friday the 13th.  All Nereids, beware.
