Final Fantasy XIII is a game I haven't talked a lot about on my blog or social media, so allow me to start this rant off with my thoughts on the game. I didn't like it. Now, ever since I made my feelings of this game known, I have had several people from the FFXIII fan community (apparently this exists) that has come out of the woodwork to explain to me why I'm wrong and should give the game a second chance to the point of excessive nagging. So, allow me to address each ...
Even if you haven't read AIR, this is just wonderful.
The Wonderful Art of Pokemon Generation 1 I love Pokemon Gen 1. I loved it when it came stateside in '98, and I love it still now, nearly two decades later. It is a strange, almost experimental feeling set of titles, defined by many odd quirks, bugs, and choices the developers ironed out in subsequent generations, and because of this, it, more so than any other generation in the series, has a distinct ...
So I took some time off of my exercise program because I was dreading it, I had a hurt knee, and I broke down crying. So I focused on weights and jogging for a little bit. Going to start the program back up again tonight and hopefully it will be more successful. Also going to start volunteering at the sexual abuse trauma center again as an on call person. My car is broken so I can't intern there now, but sharky is home in the evenings for crisis calls. I'm not feeling too ...
Heyyyy, I found my way back to the blog section again finally, and DAMN did I fail my original goal! I even forgot everything I had intended to say about the Gen 1 games after I finished Yellow again. Man, I'm so awesome. >: D That said though, I've always felt bad that I stated my intention to do something in this space and then simply ignored it right afterwards, especially since I did play through Pokemon Yellow again specifically for better perspective on the first generation. ...
Well... I've never felt this in the dark about how a visual novel might turn out. At first glance Cross†Channel takes place in a typical highschool setting. Immediatly the protagonist, Taichi Kurosu, turns out to be one of the most annoying characters I've seen in a while because he spends every scene sexually harassing one of the girls. No, seriously, I can't think of a single scene involving a female character where ...
About time I posted this. Between university, Higurashi and Cross Channel I forgot about it for some time, but the bookclub still has me coming back to it every so often. So Air is AIR's final arc. The arc's name is actually also capitalized, but to make a distiction I'll take the liberty to change that. They really couldn't have picked a more confusing name, could they? Bad news, everyone, I won't be continuing any of the new weekly articles I started. I know it's only been a couple of weeks, but ever since I started the days have gotten progressively shorter and they've been wearing me out. I'll keep doing my reviews as always, but if I keep the rest up I'm going to hit burnout. I'm only one person. I'm doing all the writing, all the proofing, and all the editing. Maybe if there's something else I want to write about I'll do so and share it on the ...
