Throughout Chrono Cross, your party will come across many useful weapons and armor just through exploring, but if you want to master the game with all the best weapons, armors, and accessories, then you have to get used to forging items using the expert blacksmiths scattered throughout all of El Nido. You can find a blacksmith in Arni Village, Termina, and Guldove. Once your well into the game, however, you will receive an item known as the Smith Spirit. With this item in your arsenal, you can forge items anywhere on the World Map or at any Record of Fate.

To be able to forge, you must possess certain materials and enough raw cash to pay service charges. To find the materials, you must explore and fight the correct enemies. Stealing items can also get you some of the items needed for forging.

Upgrading your weapons is very important for keeping your party strong and defended for all of the tough fights that lie ahead on your path to glory. As soon as you see the opportunity, upgrade your equipment. This way you have a smaller chance of getting caught up at a tough boss because your attack and defense is too weak.
