There are four types of items that your characters can use inside and outside of battles such as Recovery Items, Attack Items, Support Items, and Greens. These items are used to heal your party, damage enemies, support your party and also, to capture chocobos.

You can buy items and also, you can find them around Spira. Your thief has the ability to steal items from fiends while you are in battle.
