Not much is known about the purpose the Familiars were to serve in Final Fantasy IX, or whether they were ever anything more than silly doodles by Yoshitaka Amano, but we've gathered their images here for you to see.

Zidane's Familiar This fuzzy little guy looks like a baby mog with wings. |

| Garnet's Familiar This looks like some kind of rainbow-bird... very bright like Garnet. |

| Amarant's Familiar One of my favorites, this little guy is a snake and weasel combined. |

Eiko's Familiar One of the bigger familiars, this guy looks kinda like a baby mog, and most likely is due to Eiko being raised by mogs. |
