You can get these abilities by defeating bosses or by completing side quests.

| Dodge Roll | Dive and roll to evade attack by pressing the square button. | 1 | Defeat the Guard Armor in Traverse Town. |
| Cheer | Increase the summons' MP gauge, giving them more time and attacks per battle. Equip to entire party to boost the effect. | 1 | You receive it after you complete certain mini-games in the Hundred Acre Woods; speak with Owl after their completions. |
| Sonic Blade | Slash and enemy while rushing past. Select the follow-up attack at the right time for a combo. This is a long range attack and it will cost you 2 MP. | 3 | After defeating Cerberus at the Olympus Coliseum in Phil's Cup, speak to Cloud before you leave. |
| Ars Arcanum | A formidable attack. After a combo, select the follow up attack again for a combo. This is a short-range attack and it will cost you 2 MP. | 4 | Defeat Captain Hook in Neverland. |
| Strike Raid | Hurl the Keyblade at an enemy. Select the follow-up attack again for a double-combo. This is a short-range attack and it will cost you 3 MP. | 3 | Win the Pegasus Cup at the Olympus Coliseum. |
| Ragnarok | After an Aerial Combo, select the follow-up attack at the right time to unleash Ragnarok. This is only used for airborne targets and it will cost you 3 MP. | 4 | Defeat Riku at Hollow Bastion. |
| Trinity Limit | Channel the party's remaining MP to crush surrounding foes. You need a minimum of 3 MP and your companions have to be nearby. It will cost you all of your groups MP. | 5 | Win the Hades Cup at the Olympus Coliseum. |
