Kingdom Hearts II sees many familiar faces from the first game, also we are exposed to many new faces as well! This section will cover all the important characters that you will encounter in the main story line, spoilers alert! You are warned.

He is a young boy from Destiny Island who was chosen as the wielder of the keyblade in his last adventure. When his world was consumed by the heartless, he traveled across many worlds in search of his friends Kairi and Riku who had gone missing. His reunion with them was brief but Kairi is safe back home on the island and he continues his search for Riku, who was trapped beyond the door to Kingdom Hearts. |

He is a member of Organization 13, a renegade member who is haunted by dreams of Sora during his stay in Twilight Town. It is later revealed that Roxas is Sora's "Nobody" created after Sora was turned into a heartless to free Kairi from his heart. |

Best friends with Sora, he was to be the original keyblade master but his heart was touched by darkness and he was tricked by Maleficent to do her bidding. He thought he was helping Kairi but his heart was consumed with darkness. In KH2, Sora continues his search for him and only King Mickey knows of his whereabouts but it is a guarded secret. |

Kairi's nobody with the ability to manipulate memories, especially Sora's and his friends. Organization 13 holds her imprisoned and uses her ability to try and control Sora in Castle Oblivion but she breaks free from their control and works relentlessly to restore the damage she caused to him. |

Kingdom Hearts II has many Non-playable characters that affect the game's development. There are a select few who will participate in the battles with Sora but most are just there to help. I have covered most of the helpful npc's in the game just for information sake!
Twilight Town

He is the leader of the gang that hangs out at the "Usual Spot". Hayner has the habit of being bullheaded, hot headed and impulsive. He's not too shabby with a struggles club! |

A bit of a goof, Pence is exceptionally easy going. He's also the brains of the crew at the "Usual Spot". He's often the only one willing to go shopping with Olette and has the strange ability to calm down Hayner in matters of seconds. |

She is the sensible one of the gang and the only girl. Olette keeps the others on track, making sure they don't neglect the important things in life, like homework and ice cream. |

| Seifer Twilight Town |
|

He is the self appointed head of Twilight Town's "Disciplinary Committee". Seifer is something like a bully, especially to Roxas and his friends. He picks fights with new comers and deals harshly with anyone he considers a threat or a troublemaker. Seifer originally appeared in Final Fantasy VIII as a comrade and frequent rival to Squall Leonheart. Luckily for the people of Twilight Town, Seifer's yet to discover the Gunblade. |

| Vivi Twilight Town |

A weird little guy, Vivi hangs out with Seifer's gang and wants to be tough like them. Unfortunately, he's so meek that he mainly ends up being the gang's gopher rather than an actual member of the "Disciplinary Committee". Vivi was one of the principal characters in Final Fantasy IX. His costume design can be traced back to the very first Final Fantasy that was released in 1987. |

| Fuu Twilight Town |

Fuu doesn't speak much and when she does, it's rarely more then 3 words. She's a trusted member of Seifer's "Disciplinary Committee". Fuujin originally appeared in Final Fantasy VIII. There are notable differences in the appearances, mainly a patch over the eye and a useless limp arm to the right side. |

| Rai Twilight Town |

He is the muscle of the "Disciplinary Committee". Rai isn't terribly bright but that's not much of an importance since his role in the committee is to toss hi weight around. He has the annoying habit of ending his sentences with "y'know". Rai originally appeared in Final Fantasy VIII as Raijin and a follower of Seifer. Raijin used a massive staff as his weapon of choice in FFVIII. |

| Master Cid Yen and the three Fairies The Tower |

The wise and powerful Sorcerer is a wealth of knowledge; he even thought King Mickey a thing or two. Heed his words for his knowledge is vast and information on the new enemy you face is valuable information. You also meet the three fairies from Sleeping Beauty, they are here to aid you in getting new clothes and new abilities! |

Hollow Bastion

Gummi Ships and computers are Cid's specialties. He may be gruff and uncouth, but cid's heart is in the right place. He works tirelessly to reple the remaining Heartless in Hollow Bastion and bring the town back to the glorious world it once was. Cid first appeared in Final Fantasy VII, he longed to be the first man in space and was determined to reach his goal. |

A boisterous ninja girl, Yuffie is an endless cauldron of energy. Having returned to her home town of hollow bastion, she works to keep the heartless at bay and restore the town to the radiant garden it once was. Yuffie first appeared in Final Fantasy VII as the secret character. She was known as a "Materia hunter" but thief would suit her just as well. |

A gentle and kind soul. Aerith called Hollow Bastion her home until the heartless invasion turned the town into a den of darkness. Retreating to Traverse Town, she assisted Sora in his quest. She returned to Hollow Bastion after the defeat of the wicked Maleficent. Now she helps with the Restoration Committee to rebuild Hollow Bastion. Arith first appeared in Final Fantasy VII who was involved in the events surrounding Cloud and Sephiroth. |

Three fairies on the search for treasure, they are allies to Sora but first they joined Maleficent since they thought she was hidding treasure in her castle. These three ladies are the main characters of Final Fantasy X-2, and Yuna and Rikku were companions to Tidus in FFX. |

Tifa searches for Cloud and makes her way to Hollow Bastion. She gets there just in time to get involved in the heartless invasion. She joins Sora on the Ravvine trail, ready to bust some heartless heads! Tifa appears at Cloud's side in FFXII and FFVII: Advent Children. |

The Land of the Dragons

The only daughter of the distinguished Fa Family. Mulan doesn't really fit in, much to her father's dismay. When Shan-Yu and his heartless hordes threaten China, Mulan disguised herself as a man named "Ping" to save her father from being drafted into the Imperial army. Mulan appears in the Disney movie :Mulan" and is based on an ancient Chinese legend. |

| Captain Li Shang Land of the Dragons |

Capatain Shang is disciplined, courageous, and strict. He endures quite a problem having to lead a bunch of disorganized, untrained and inexperienced troop. However, Shang dutifully accepts to meld his troops into a force to stop Shan-Yu. |

| Mushuu Land of the Dragons |

Mulan's guardian dragon. He also helped Sora and his friends in the first adventure as a summon. He's hoping to gain back his spot in the family guardians by helping Mulan destroy the threat to China but his behavior sometimes only gets Mulan in deeper waters. Mushuu appears in the movie "Mulan". |

Beast's Castle

Master of the enchanted castle, Beast lives with Belle and learns how to become a better person with the help of the princess. He fought alongside with Sora when his world was destroyed and Belle went missing. |

Even though she dreams of adventure and faraway lands, she never thought she'd actually be part of one that would determine the fate of all worlds! She was captured by Maleficent as one of the seven pure heart pricesses and Beast rescued her with Sora's help in Hollow Bastion. |
| Encounter | She asks for Sora's help to free Beast from some kind of spell that has him acting strange. She is Sora's ally but is unable to join the party. |
Olympus Coliseum

Son of the god of Zeus, he was turned immortal but Hades when he was a baby but through a mistake, he kept his god-like strength. |

A one-time pawn for Hades. "Meg" has since soften after spending time with "wonder-boy" Hercules. Although she's still sharp-toungued and cynical, she can't help but smile at Hercules's bravery. |

They are Hade's minions and help him in all his schemes to destroy Hercules. They are also the ones you speak to engage in the mini -games |

Philocetes has been training heroes for a long time. He's gruff and extremely tough on anyone who comes to him in hopes of becoming a student. He even gets tougher on them if he agrees to teach them. those who can tough it out can learn invaluable heroic skills and may one day become a bona fide official hero. |

Despite the use of only one arm, Auron is a powerful swordsman whose skills are amazing. But what happened in his past to put him in the Underworld? Auron appears in Final Fantasy X as Tidus's mentor and guardian to Yuna's father. |

She has apparently taken a few lessons from Master Yen Cid, as she's pretty handy with a magic spell when trouble shows up on her door step. She's been with Mickey since 1939's "Mickey's Surpise Party". |

Queen Minnie's royal retainer. Daisy helps with keeping Disney CAstle in order during the absence of King Mickey. She's Donald's girlfriend. She's been with Donald since her first appearence in 1937's "Don Donald". |

| Chip and Dale Disney Castle |

Chip and Dale keep the Gummi Garage of Castle Disney in tip-top conditions. If you need work on the gummi ship, they're the ones to go to. Feisty and enrgetic, the more level headed Chip keeps the more relaxed Dale in line. You first encouter these two in 1943's "Private Pluto", they give Donald Duck many headaches and were stars of their own show "Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers". |

King Mickey's faithful dog. Pluto is on his own quest to find his master. His keen nose leads him on a bizarre path, one that only occasionaly crosses that of Sora and his friends. However he always shows up at just the right time. Pluto makes his first appearence in Disney's "The Chain Gang" in 1930. |

Before he was king of Disney Castle, Mickey was an adventurous little fellow who worked on Pete's Steam boat. He had a penchant for trouble but had a tendency to get through anything thrown his way. The question remains - Is this the modern King changed like Sora and friends or is it the King from the past like Pete? |

Port Royal

A skilled sword smith in Port Royal. Will is the son of a former member of Jack sparrow's pirate crew, "Bootstrap" Bill Turner. He's been a childhood friend with the governor's daughter Elizabeth. When she is captured by Barbosa's crew, he joins Jack and Sora in a rescue mission on the Interceptor. As it turns out, Barbosa needs Will's blood to lift the curse of the chest of gold and live again. |

The daughter of Port Royal's Governor and she is a long term friend of Will Turner. Despite her aristocratic upbringning, she is brave and fearless, determined to hit the high seas on a dangerous adventure. Maybe that's why she claimed to be the daughter of Bootstrap? |

Agrabah

Growing up poor in the streets of Agrabah was tough, but Aladdin's quick wits and fast feet kept him a step ahead of the riff-raff. A chance meeting with Princess Jasmine made hima hero as he retrieved the magic lamp from the Cave of Wonders. In the first adventure, Aladdin defeated Jafar with the help of Sora and his friends. He is now engaged to marry Jasmine and he still likes to roam the streets of Aggrabah. |

Princess of Agrabah, one of the seven princesses of Light and the ony daughter of the Sultan. Jasmine longed to get away from her sheltered life. In the first adventure, she was captured by Jafar to open the door of light. |

Freed from the bond tot eh lamp with Aladdin's final wish, Genie travels alot but always has time to come back and see his good pal Al, or sweep in when Sora calls on his help. He was a summon in the first adventures of Sora and he remains a summon in KH2. |

| Iargo Agrabah |

He was Jafar's ally in the first adventure but after the defeat of his master, Iargo tries to find Aladdin and the princess to ask for forgivenss. Sora agrees to help him get a second chance. |

Carpet spent thousands of years in the Cave of Wonders until Aladdin arrived. The firendly magic carpet helped Aladdin find the treasure he sought, the Genie's lamp, and flew Aladdin across the world when needed. |

Jack is the Pumpkin King, the showman who brings the good-natured fright and chills that are associated with Halloween. In the first adventures of Sora, he helped him repel the heartless invasion caused by the wicked Oogie Boogie. Now it seems that Jack has become fascinated with Christmas. |

"Sandy Claws" has the misfortune of being Jack Skellington's center of attention. He is the leader of Christmas town and he is busy getting ready for Christmas. He'snormally a patient man but Jack has the ability to easily get under his skin. |

The Pride Lands

Prince of the Pride Lands, Simba ran away after the death of his father Mufasa. After fighting alongside with Sora as a summon character in KH, he returned to his world but still couldn't face his past. When Sora and Nala find him, he's brought to the realization that his pride needs him and he faces his demons. |

| Timon and Pumba The Pride Lands |

Timon the meerkat and Pumbaa the boar were outcasts, banding together to stay alive in the rough world of the Pride Lands. They found the wounded cub Simba and nursed him back to health with a diet of bugs. They might be easily frightened, but for their friend Simba, they're willing to be brave, for a minute or two. |

| Nala The Pride Lands |

A childhood friend of Simba. She was always more level-headed than the prince but she certainly shared his sense of adventure. She eventually became a skilled huntress but Scar's rule of the land has made food scarce and even her skills could not feed the pride. Hearing that Simba was alivefrom Sora, she dedicates herself to finding him. |

| Rafiki The Pride Lands |

A wise old mandrill, Rafiki was King Mufasa's advisor. He was looking forward to teach Simba on his journey to taking leadership of the pride but his "death" has put a damper on his dreams. He's eccentric but his ability to listen to the earth and the wind to gain the information he needs is most amazing and detailed. |

Space Paranoids

A security program created at ENCOM, Tron was copied by Ansem the Wise and tasked with keeping the system of hollow Bastion in working order. But Tron soon found himself imprisoned in the game grid when Ansem also brought the Master Control Program and Sark on-line in the system as well. |

| Sark Space Paranoids |

Enforcer of the MCP's will, Sark answers to no users. he was recreated by the MCP when it was brought into the Hollow Bastion system for reasons unknown. An expert in battle, Sark is cold and cruel. |

100 Acre Woods (Mini-Games)

A simple and good-natured soul, Pooh bear ambles through life in search of delicious honey. He can be forgetful and his love of honey can make him seem a bit inconsiderate of others, however, he means no harm. Pooh's memmory is affected by the heartless removing pages of the book, Sora's got a lot of work ahead of him. |

The tiniest and most timid of the 100 Acre Woods inhabitants. Piglet is always jumpy, however, his friends give him courage. |

He seems to have the answer to any problem, as well as a rambling story about one of his relatives. He may not have always the -right- answers but he's never afraid to offer his advice to a friend in need. |

Rabbit is a hard worker and is especially proud of his vegetable garden. Although his stock of honey is nothing to sneeze at. He's almost patient but Tigger and Pooh test him relentlessly. |

Poor Eeyore never seems to catch a break. He keeps losing his tacked on tail or his house gets destroyed over a variety of reasons. Although he speaks with a low tone and a sour note, he keeps going and appreciates all that his friends do for him. |

Atlantica (Mini-Games)

A hard-headed princess that is facinated with the human world. She wants the merpeople to get along with the human world. She helped Sora defeat the heartless invasion in the first KH. This time around, Sora helps her with some love advice. |

A human prince that Ariel falls in love with after she rescued him from a ship wreck. He helps Ariel defeat Ursula in a final battle. |

The composer for King Triton's undersea orchestra. Sebastian is saddled with keeping an eye on Ariel and trying to keep her out of trouble. This drives the normally sensible crab to his wits end, as the strong willed pricess has her mind set! |
