Sometime in late 2001, everyone was growing tired of the constant EoFF Awards that were being every two to four months and after someone complained about the lack of recent awards or something to that effect. Loony BoB decided to take the awards to a whole new level. Well, not necessarily new, but different anyhow. He added a 'nominations' round, and set the number of awards to 50 by splitting them into 'Main Awards' and 'MLT Awards'. The awards were named 'Ciddies' by suggestion of a member. They were a massive success with a regular increase in member participation. Since then, they have been done twice a year - generally once in late May and another in late November. One week is devoted to the nomination process and another to voting. In the 2008 End of Year Ciddies, a new “Prenominating” section was introduced – the “For Your Consideration” section. A thread is created, where members can link artwork, writing, posts, threads, avatars and other related Ciddies material to assist in the nomination round. The material does not need to belong the member posting it.

There have been many, many awards over the past years, and of course many winners, too. The past winners of the awards can be found in a zipped up MS Excel spreadsheet here or in a vastly inferior HTML extract here. Neither document has been updated since the May Ciddies in 2007.

Please remember that each season Baloki has run a rather successful 'Don't Vote Baloki' campaign (ultimately being so successful it resulted in his bannation), so remember, if you nominate or vote for Baloki in the Ciddies an elaborate death will be set up for you!

The Normal Ciddies threads

The Ciddies have become quite the big deal at EoFF, bringing numerous post-whores out of the woodwork, trying to gain exposure. The picture thread is notorious for this, as every man and his dog posts increasingly more suggestive photos to try and secure those votes. Cuchulainn tends to rag on any members who do this however, and his wrath ain't pretty. The Ciddies comprises several threads, each with a specific purpose.
