BAoTW is a group of Eyes on Final Fantasy members. The initials stand for Bored Atheists of the World. Although the correct way of initialising this would be “BAotW”, the membership themselves seem to prefer the T to be capitalised. As the group is now all but defunct, it shall be henceforth referred to in the past tense.

Perhaps the primary belief of BAoTW was that of “pointless crap”. Saying absurd and ridiculous things just for the point of saying them. Others would simply refer to this as spam. Indeed, the title of the group themselves is an example of this, as their group was not a religious one. They were also rather strongly anti-elitist, and invited any and all members to join their ranks.

They believed strongly in the sanctity of walruses, Hawaii, nachos, and caves, and many of their propaganda images included these things. Their images often contain a light blue colour, which derives from the Hawaiian shirt worn by the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Tommy Vercetti. Their primary enemies were considered to be Canadian singer Avril Lavigne and EoFF's very own Loony BoB, although Cher was also strongly disliked by their membership.

Finally, BAoTW are very strongly opposed to “socs”, although what a soc is has never actually been explained.

BAoTW was formed in #eoff in approximately June 2003, after a discussion between Psychotic, Pure Strife and someone using the name Lucrecia, who has not been seen or heard of since. After discovering that the trio were all bored, and atheist, Pure Strife declared the infamous phrase “Bored Atheists of the World unite!”

The two joined erikramza's forum, Random Foolishness, with new disciples Faris_the_guy, muchacho marc and RikkuYuna89. They used the forum as a sort of home base for their spamming operations, and as they spread their beliefs, Denmark, a regular of Random Foolishness, was converted.

By early 2004, BAoTW had begun to grow in strength and number, with the likes of Baloki, Misfit and Levian all holding membership. The infamous spam thread MAPS was also created by BAoTW members at this point.

However, the grand plan had always been to march to war in the February of 2004, when the elections were taking place, and the party mobilised to form Bored Atheists of the World Party. Founding member of BAoTW, Psychotic, was the official leader of the party for this election. The party is widely accepted to have finished second in that election. They received the second highest amount of votes, behind HOOTERS' Pirate Party. However, Election Booth declared that because Loony BoB had won the leaders' section, The Newbie Party were victorious. Psychotic was quick to point out that he had finished second in this section, and thus whichever way you looked at it, BAoTW had finished second.

The organisation grew from strength to strength during the period between the 2004 and 2005 elections, having supported PeTeRL90 during his infamous and controversial banning, and gained support through this. In the 2005 elections, they reformed as the BAoTW Party, as opposed to the Bored Atheists of the World Party. Because of some concerns raised by members who didn't understand the true concept of the party, Psychotic, who had once again returned to lead the party, felt that the word “atheists” had alienated certain people, and was quick to avoid this mistake again. BAoTW came second yet again, despite having gained more votes than the winners, the #eoff party.

As with all things, the organisation fell into decline, and was no longer advertised in the signatures of members. Doomie led a BAoTW Party in the 2007 Elections, and attracted former BAoTWers such as kikimm and Faris to the ranks. Doomie felt his party did not have enough members to compete, and so merged with a party led by Captain Maxx Power to form The Bored Chin Patrol Pirate Red Mage Atheists of the World. They were defeated by The Party, which was led by former BAoTW Party leader Psychotic. The Party became the BAoTW Party for one day as its theme, and the teaser signature implied BAoTW would return.

Baloki will frequently refer to BAoTW and socs in threads that he makes. Meanwhile, Psychotic still retains BAoTW imagery such as walruses in his signatures, and his moderation tag is the colour of BAoTW blue, which is #33ccff.

Psychotic has been making a BAoTW game on RPG Maker 2000 since 2004, and is currently aiming for a 2009 release, and with it, a tidal wave of spam and orgasmic pop tarts to consume EoFF once more.
