Mercen-X stumbled upon EoFF years ago while visiting a family friend's house. They had painfully slow upload because they had dial-up through Earthlink instead of direct net. Originally, he signed up just to get news about FF. Then he started posting his opinions and started to help out the mods somewhat. Mercen-X confesses he was kissing up in hopes of becoming a Cid's Knight. He didn't realize at the time that most CKs were veteran members (but that's not really the most important factor). That was back when he had home internet. Mercen-X would have been very effective as a CK back then. But now, he barely has time for the site (sadface). He posted some fandom and “hired” artists to depict his original characters from stories he hopes to publish before 2020.

He's had hearty debates with people in EOEO and as well as debates on FF7 and definitely KH… in all of which Mercen-X tried to show reserve but eventually came off as needlessly obnoxious and arrogant (his words, not mine!). Overall, he says he is a diehard fan of EoFF as much as he is a fan of FF.
