Name Meanings

~*~Celes~*~ - Celes is the “ice queen” of FFVI, which is the polar opposite of her. Adding ~*~ gives the certain sparkly, warm personality that she has, thus making Celes into ~*~Celes~*~, who is happier and nicer!

*Devore* - Devore is this member's middle name.

♪TJ Gaga♪ - Formerly vivi_lover666, this member's name was inspired by a friend who goes by the name of Shannon Gaga, a Lady Gaga impersonator. The eighth notes were inspired by Jessweeee♪, another real life friend and member of this message board.

Academic - She remembers vaguely, hearing something about Academy and wanting to have a variation of that.

Aerith's Knight - This member joined in 2005 under the name ultimatefinalfantasyfan, or UFFF for short. In 2007 he decided to test his might and venture up to the peak of Eyes on Final Fantasy, the General Forums. With this feat accomplished he felt ready to profess his love for the one woman who had any real impact on him, but she was dead so he settled for naming himself after her instead. These days he doesn't really care for the name, but he does thoroughly enjoy it when he is referred to as AK.

arudis - His username, agrudis, is the name of a monster from a story he wrote when he was little.

Astronite - The first part of the name came from his AIM name, and the “nite” was added to make the name a pun of sorts, off the name of “Astro Knight” (his username on a couple other forums).

BarelySeeAtAll - “Barely see at all” is a lyric from the Skillet song Falling Inside The Black.

Bastian - Bastian is the main character of his favorite novel (and favorite film as a kid) The Neverending Story. He uses it as his internet pseudonym pretty much everywhere. He also uses it as his recording artist name.

BG-57 - This member's name originates from a character he created for a fantasy story. The character was a robot known as Blue Golem #57, or BG-57 for short. He picked the number 57 because he liked the sound of it at the time but in retrospect he guesses he was just thinking of Heinz ketchup.

black orb - »> The “black orb” from FF1 is located at the “Temple of Fiends”..:luca:

boys from the dwarf - Derrived from an English comedy known as “Red Dwarf”. The character were referd to as the “Boys From the Dwarf” during the show's 5th series.

Breine - Breine's name comes from his middle name, Breinholt. It used to be his real life nickname which is why he chose it as his username. He has since found out that it means “blessed” in Yiddish and that's pretty cool!

Brennan - Take a wild guess

Brian The Pink Shark - emerged from a conversation in #eoff chat involving pet sharks and pink paint.

Brunettepudding - It was a nickname her best friend on another forum used to use for her, because she used to RP quite a lot back in the day, and their characters used this word as sort of an inside joke between the two of them.

Bunny - His username has no special meaning aside from him enjoying the absolute simplicity of the name itself and the reaction it gets due to his apparent troll-like nature. Also being mistaken for a girl is neat sometimes.

champagne supernova - This member's username comes from an Oasis song of the same name. Apparently a supernova was also named after the song in 2003. Interesting, no?

charliepanayi - charliepanayi is three quarters of this member's full name.

ChickenHeart- According to Urban Dictionary a chicken heart is when a man whips out his testicles for the world to see. One can only hope this member found this funny enough to make it their username and not because they engage in this act frequently.

Chloe. - It's her name! The full stop isn't really there for a reason, she just thought it would look nice.

Chri$ - Originally a member here between the period of 2003-2006, under the name Chris, he was banned for unnamed reasons (probably because the administration was jealous of his badassery). Now that we have caught up to his awesomeness he has been welcomed back with open arms and an $ to add to the end of his name.

Citizen Bleys - It’s just a name, it has no special significance.

Cleyra - Her name stems from the settlement on the Mist Continent in Final Fantasy IX. It is constantly surrounded by a sandstorm, which is powered by one of the four Summoning Jewels. Nothing horribly special,jJust shows how much she likes FF9.

Clo - Clo's name is simple, a shortening of the nickname Clograb, which is a combination of her first, middle, and last name. She has moderated a Young Writer's website under this name.

Cloudane - Cloud + Zidane = Cloudane.

Crop - Crop is a shortened version of 'The Cropolite' from the game TimeSplitters 2. He chose it when joining a TimeSplitters forum many moons ago. He has stuck with it, and will continue to stick with it on every forum he ever goes on…damn those fools who always change their name. That's Crop with an 'o' not an 'a'.

Crossblades - When asked what Crossblades' name meant to him he had this to say: Crossblades is a hyperactive, overheated sky jockey. Talks constantly. Patrols Autobot headquarter perimeters with lightning speed, searching for Decepticon infiltrators. Only stops long enough to refuel and check his weapons. Armed with automatic 35mm machine guns, air-to-air missiles, and a searing thermal cannon. Also equipped with mid-flight refueling capabilities and cloaking device that makes him invisible. Transforms to supersonic dragster, equipped with high-speed turbo boosters and electro-jammers that disrupt enemy circuitry. Outer shell chopper equipped with metal-eating roto-blades. Combines with dragster to form ultra-sonic helicopter equipped with front-mounted magneto-ray that magnetizes on impact. With members like this around the citizens of EoFF no longer fear the imminent uprising of that Psychotic guy.

Cuchulainn - Cuchulainn named himself after Cú Chulainn, an Irish mythological hero who appears in the stories of the Ulster Cycle, as well as in Scottish and Manx folklore. The son of the god Lug and Deichtine (sister of Conchobar mac Nessa), he was originally named Sétanta. Cuchulainn named himself this BEFORE Final Fantasy XII was made. People STILL think he named himself after that fat green twat from that game.

DarkBahamut - Bahamut is his all-time favorite summon in all FF series as he is a FRICKING dragon that is fierce and rapid. Quick as light, but always hides in the depths of shadows in the night . And the “Dark” before it, adds a cooler appearence to his username.

Darkswordofchaos - Apparently it means a person filled with darkness, chaos, and swords.

Del Murder - It means 'of the Murder'. He got it from a mobster name generator on the internet several years ago. So does that mean Del Snizz is… of the Snizz?

Denmark - Ah, the origin of the name Denmark is quite a story. It originated from the Swahili phrase “Gari langu linaloangama limejaa na mikunga”, which of course translates to “我的氣墊船充滿了鱔魚” in Mandarin. From here, it is easy to see where the first settlers of the great nation of Denmark, the Brazilians, got the name Denmark. Obviously this name had to go through many revisions before it was finalized and accepted by the world community; however, by this point, the peninsula was populated primarily by the Danish, so the name Daneland stuck, at least until 45 seconds later, when it was changed back to Denmark. How did he, the user Denmark, acquire this glorious name, you may ask? Well, he'll going to let you in on a little secret that only one person knows because he made it up right this very second. The username “Denmark” is an acronym that has been accepted as a word due to its unusual capitalization standards. The phrase that “Denmark” or “D.E.N.M.A.R.K.” actually stands for is “Develop Endoplasm, Never Mangle Aristocrats, Read Karefully [sic]”. The use of the K was necessary in both thwarting the possibility of deciphering and to make the acronym turn out to be a country, rendering it and our leaders completely free from blame. Alternatively, it was Psychotic's doing, but that's boring, isn't it?

Dignified Pauper - Dignified Pauper was originally called Marick but grew upset at how everyone thought his name was a reference to Yu-Gi-Oh. With that he changed his name to Dignified Pauper and hasn't looked back.

docta fizz - Was formerly a medic, a nick name for that is Doc. He was working 18 hour shifts for a week on, and 14 hour shifts his week off. He drank a lot of energy drinks (boom-booms/wild tigers/rip-its) somehow this began the name fizz. He took the liberty of combining them into what his name is now.

Dr. Acula - Their name is from the TV show Scrubs, in an episode where J.D writes a screenplay about vampire doctors. It's a play on the word “Dracula”.

Drift - His first username was darkcloud. He used it because he brought a lot of annoyance and misery to people. His current username is because he drifts through life.

eestlinc - eestlinc is a reference to the American poet e. e. cummings, whose middle name was Estlin.

enano - enano is a spanish word that translates into english meaning midget/dwarf/gnome.

eternal essence - It kinda has alliteration, and it sounded sorta pretty, which is why he used it. But it holds no special significance to him. He requested it be changed to Happy Noodle Boy when he returned to the site, and BoB shot him down.

Evastio - It's a name he came up with. Back in Grade 5 he and a friend were trying to come up with cool sounding names for something. His friend came up with the names Aklan and Emokichuk. Evastio tried to come up with cool names as well but his friend didn't like his name ideas like Gatradis and Kyudis. Evastio was the only name he found cool. When he was making his EoFF account he wanted to make his name a cool one that nobody else would be using. Evastio was one of the first ones that came to mind so he decided to stick with that name.

Ezme - Originally WelshWonder. She created this account when she was 15 and didn't really have an internet persona. She's Welsh and cocky so…. WelshWonder! Everywhere else she's Ezme which is because on Guildwars her main character was called Ezmarelda Hayward. In 2010 she decided to go full blown Ezme.

Faris - Faris man! The purple hair pirate from FFV! You could also consider her the female version of Faris_the_guy. Coincidentally they both live in the same province! She was also called e-moo, a nick name from Loony BoB. This name change took place Shedoesn'trememberwhen for Shedoesn'trememberwhatevent. This nick name originates from the massive YIM chats that took place in 2008 when Faris pronounced “emu” as “e-moo”. Baby Faris is another nick she went by, burthed from Shlup and her need for a baby craze day. Does this make her one of Shlup’s children? Uh-oh.

Fates Forgotten - This member's name was derrived from his being tired of being forgotten about when he went away for some reason. Also he tell people things about what he is going to do in the future and they blatently ignore him.

FFIX Choco Boy - He always thought that FFIX was the one that took chocobos in the right direction, so he named himself after his favorite FF element in the one that did it the best.

finaloblivion - Oblivion is the name of his favorite keychain in the kingdom hearts games, and putting the word final before it just made it seem that much cooler.

fire_of_avalon - fire_of_avalon, often shortened to the acronym foa, has had many different names. Most notably are buyer_on_amazon, fart_of_rsl (which tells you something of her sense of humor), Ms. Peacock when Shlup did the Clue theme, and when Kishi named her Arkady for some long forgotten reason. The name fire_of_avalon was based on stories she used to tell her cousins about the Fire of Avalon, the Water of Shangri-La, the Breath of Heaven and the Soil of El Dorado.

Forsaken Lover - This member made their username when they were about 15 or maybe 16. Back then they:

A. Liked to throw around words like forsaken for no real reason.

B. I had a falling out with a few people I really cared for or loved.

Hence the melodramatic title of Forsaken Lover.

Freya - Can you guess what her favorite Final Fantasy is? She used to be called Lekana but felt she needed something fresh. Freya, being her favorite FF character, seemed the only logical choice.

Fujiko - Fujiko is a Japanese feminine given name, usually derived from 藤 (Fuji), which means “Wisteria” (a genus of flowers), and the suffix 子 (-ko), which means “child” or “child of”. So Fujiko usually means Child of Wisteria or Wisteria Child.

Future Esthar - Not only is Esthar futuristic but he has a theory about the world of FF8 being a “time compressed” world comprised of about 6 eras.

Esthar is in the one most ahead in time.

Garland - When he joined here, it was solely for FF1. Garland is one of the few iconic characters . He picked Garland for the same reason everyone tries to make Cloud Strife in any MMORPG that comes out. He was actually surprised he got the name. So yeah, FF1 fan, FF1 message board, FF1 name. It was quite a while before he joined the regular population. He’s never changed names. This one gives him an avatar and a sig if he needs it.

Garnie - Originally named Garnet123, Resha, on #eoff, used to call her Garnie. She has been Garnie on teh interwebs since that fateful day!

Genius Lynx - This is his designated codename in FOXHOUND!

Goldenboko - GoBo Lurves them Chocos.

Guardian XIII - Final Fantasy X was the first FF he had ever played and The Guardians of the Flame was his favorite book series at the time. With those combined he really like what the word 'guardian' represented. XIII came from a fascination with Roman numerals, brought on from playing FF, and 13 being his favorite number.

Gullick - It's his surname and used to be his nickname in school.

Hambone - To be a Hambone means to be the center, to be the object of desire, to be the best, a hidden gem. When examining a ham, one finds a bone in the very middle. The meat of the ham grows surrounding this all important bone, the bone provides the delectable framework for the ham itself, so the Hambone is a very important element in not just the world of eating swines, but in the world of being someone. His name is Hambone, therefore he is special.

Hot Shot - Hot Shot's name comes from his extremely accurate shot in basketball. Overall he's just average, but its his sharpshooting which makes him stand out.

Hsu - From the Great Logistorm Saga, third book (revision four). After the process of the Infernallestration carried out by the Dark Bat Knights, the group of warriors known as the Riders of Truth set out to destroy that was evil and return the world from chaos before it would head into the neverending cycle of torment (the Logistorm). Unable to complete the task completely (they could only hope to hide the seven shards of the mirrors from whence the Sorcerer of Dark brought forth the Infernallestration), they instead hid the seven shards of the mirrors from whence the Sorcerer of Dark brought forth the Infernallestration. However, millenia later, as the Dark Bat Knights regained strength and again began to terrorize the land, a boy was born. The great Monk Wizard, a direct descendent of the Riders of Truth, saw his potential and began his formal training as a Magelancer, the one who in the time of darkness could truly prevent the Logistorm - for good - or so they thought at the time - which was ultimately proven a wrong idea in the sixth book - first revision. Hsu was the name of the Asian butcher man that was cut down during the original reign of terror of the Dark Bat Knights.

Hypoallergenic Cactuar - Hypoallergenic Cactuar is just what it sounds like, nothing special.

Hythloday - Hythloday, in Greek, means “peddler of nonsense”.

I Don't Need A Name - This came about after desperately needing a witty name to overcome the previous 'final- andy' (which was, quite frankly, poor). After a long debate in User-Notes, Christmas came up with the name, and he used it since.

I Took The Red Pill - He smurfing loves forklifts.

Iceglow - This members name is one of many that he made up himself. The reason for Iceglow, is that he became obsessed with ice spells and how they always seem to glow in computer games.

I'm my own MILF - His username means that he is his own MILF. He came up with it when he thought of that Futurama episode where Fry is his own grandfather, and changed it in order that there be greater lulz.

Imperfectionist - In terms of meaning she thought the idea of someone seeking out imperfection in everything they do was interesting in itself. But it's also interesting because of how everyone defines perfection differently, so one person's perfectionist could be another's imperfectionist. And it can be shortened to Imp, which is pimpin'.

Inferno - FFVI was the first FF he played back in the mid 90's. The name “Inferno” comes from the esper Ifrit's attack. This beast being associated to fire, he discovered that “Inferno” was actually a synonym of hell, a place of fiery heat and destruction. How bad is that?

Jack - His Mum thought it was good enough for him, and so did the EoFF board.

jenovajunkie - This member holds a special place for FFVII in their heart. They felt that Jenova was like a drug to Sephiroth, that Sephiroth was a Jenova junkie. They felt that putting those two words together created an even cooler word and so chose that as their username.

Jessweeee? - When signing up for her first e-mail account at eleven her uncle suggested she use Jesse1 as her handle (possibly to make it sound more like Obi-Wan?). It became her original EoFF screen name as well. After some time she grew bored of it and made a thread in General Chat asking for suggestions. Crop suggested Jessweeee and she tacked a note on the end to make it “purdy”.

Jings - When he logged on it was just a random word he decided to use.

Jiro - The name “Jiro”, if drawing on its pseudo Japanese roots would mean something like “second son.” However as he is both Australian and the first born son, that meaning has absolutely no relevance.

Jiro, as a screen name, is the shortened (and now preferred) version of the name “Seiken Jiro”, which he uses as the name for his main literary character and in some ways alter ego (though he's not schizophrenic). Seiken Jiro was, in turn, a mash up between the name “Seiken”, stolen from Trumpet Thief's Seiken Wave piece in the Writer's Corner, and the name “Jiro” which was originally thought to be an honorific.

JKTrix - One of his first online aliases was 'Jedi_Kakarott', a mix of Star Wars and Dragonball fandom. He grew out of the phase of brazenly wearing his nerddom on his sleeve/username, yet could not abandon jis so-called 'legacy' altogether. So, Jedi_Kakarott was shortened to JK, and jammed onto his real-life nickname of 'Trix'.

Kawaii Ryûkishi - “Ryuukishi” came from a text file detailing the censorship and terminological differences between the Japanese and American versions of Final Fantasy IV. The word in question translates to Dragon Knight, which is Cain's class—and that of every so-called “Dragoon” in the series, in fact. Between playing Final Fantasy Tactics and seeing Toshiyuki Itahana's designs for the class for the game that would become Final Fantasy IX, he had already become enamored with the concept of dive-bombing knights who wear capes and helmets shaped like dragon heads, and “Dragon Knight” was such a better name than “Dragoon” (to say nothing of “Lancer”) that he adopted it. “Ryuukishi” was reformatted to “Ryûkishi” relatively early in his membership at Eyes on Final Fantasy for simple reasons of aesthetic cleanliness.

As for “Kawaii”…the world was a very different place in 1999.

Kentarou - He saw the name Kentarou in the manual for Final Fantasy X in the credits section. He decided to use the name for a character of his in Phantasy Star Online. At the time he made his account, Kentarou was still his main character on Phantasy Star Online.

Kirobaito - When he joined in 2001 he had the name King Bahamut. People started calling him KB after awhile. He was very active in #eoff, which at that time (2004) had a !j2e/!e2j translator from English to/from Japanese. One day he randomly typed !e2j KB and Kirobaito popped out, because it is the Japanese word for “kilobyte.”

He’s had a few other names over the course of his time here, but none of them voluntarily. He was Walker Texas Ranger for a month or so, and KillerBunni once, as well.

Kossage - Kossage comes from an in-joke between he and his friends. His IRL Finnish friends often call him Kössi (which refers to the nickname of his badass great grandfather). One day (way before he joined EoFF) they randomly thought it'd be funny to try to think of an English “bastardization” of his Finnish nickname. They had a short brainstorming session which resulted in the birth of the nick Kossage.

Kumo - Kumo means Cloud in Japanese.

Kyle - His username has quite the history. He was born and his mother named him Kyle.

His original name, LunarWeaver, came about because at the time he considered the moon super pretty but needed something else on the end because “Lunar” would be taken as a name everywhere he went. He pulled the first word he thought of out of his magical ass and it happened to be “Weaver.” After that, everyone said, “Hey, you weave any lunes lately?” believing they were the first to say this to him when in fact they were the millionth. But he would lol anyway, go along with it, you know? He didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. The fact is he made the name as a young teenager and it is nonsense. As he grew old and crotchety, he only cared about instant coffee and laughing at Harry Potter fans who ran into walls trying to find platform 9¾, not the moon. He decided change was in order to shed his previous form.

He changed it to Noctiluca as it is something real whereas LunarWeaver is just stupid. Noctiluca scintillans are these really smurfing ugly sea creatures, but they glow and stuff, and he guessed nocti and luca are Latin words or prefixes or suffixes or some crap he never truly cared about as well. Unfortunately, few people spelled it right, and his theory that it would not be taken across the Internet was wrong. Now he was named as something that looks like unicorn crap and nobody appreciated it.

Eventually he changed it to Kyle, his real first name. It is simple and boring, just like the jeans and t-shirts he wears every single day or Tilda Swinton's face, take your pick. He likes it that way, though. It won't win the username competition or anything, but it is what it is. Should he have named himself Special K Cereal? The gypsy down the street believes so. But he will not change it again.

Laddy - Laddy is a joke from a while back. When someone thought he was a girl and said he was a nice young lady, in which he added the 'D' to make it Laddy.

Levian - He originally signed up as The Black Mage sometime in 2002. Terribly unoriginal, he knows. Shortly afterwards he received a PM from someone advertising their forums, and since he found EoFF too big he decided to join and be a part of a smaller community. After a while this guy decides he wants to mod him, although he's got one condition, that he change his name into a summon from Final Fantasy. There was this whole theme going on, so he decided to go for it and picked Leviathan, which he also signed up as on Final Fantasy Infinate, an offspring site of EoFF driven and populated by many of the same members. Members such as Squally Leonharty, DK and Loony BoB. As FFI slowly but surely died out, he returned to posting active on EoFF in late 2003. He was more known as Levia by many of the members then, so he asked for a name change. He has since added an N to that name to make less members assume that he’s a girl. He’s not sure if it worked.

Lionx - He was interested in Lion King at the time and added an x to make it sound mysterious.

Loony BoB - Ever since watching Terminator 2, where John Connor refers to the T-800 as his “Uncle Bob”, he thought “That's awesome, I want to be an Uncle Bob.” The latter capital B comes mostly due to the way he would write “BOB” with a small-looking o, which online looks better as BoB. It's also used to separate himself from other Bobs out there. As for the Loony side of things, well, he was known to be pretty weird when he got the nickname. Online, Loony BoB has always been his username everywhere he's been, even when he first used Yahoo! Chat and email during his first days online. It makes him rather easy to stalk, mind you.

Lunatic_High - This member got their username from one of Red XIII's limit breaks in Final Fantasy VII.

Marshall Banana - “Marshall Banana” appears briefly in episode #23 of Cowboy Bebop as a username Ed uses for a program.

Masamunemaster - He and his friend found this site a few years ago when they were able to get online everyday. He decided on Masamunemaster out of complete randomness. He thought it would have been taken up already. Since that day people online (for some reason) have been able to recognize him around the web and was once even spotted on FFXI because of his name.

Mattew - He finally just gave up and used his real first name. He went by Kenshin on one of the older EoFF boards, and even God for a short time (before Unne got it!) but it's just been Matthew for a long while now.

McLovin' - Named after a character from the movie Superbad.

Meat Puppet - Mine meanis penis. Ever the helpful member. Heh… 'member'.

Melissaur - Melissaur is the result of a Melissa crossed with an ur. A very rare sub-breed of Melissa's. They can be found on the coast of Florida.

Mercen-X - Mercen-X: The name of a mercenary in a game he conceived called the Valor Project. The mercenary's true identity is a female of a clan of “guinea pigs”, that being an entire race of people spawned from a corporation's attempt at creating super-soldiers. The first part of mercenary, Mercen, plus the first letter of her name, X, creates the moniker Mercen-X. Originally, Mercenary X was a term he used to denote the fact that her identity was unknown hence X as an unknown variable. It remains a possibility even after her name is revealed that it may not really be her name. He chose this name as his online identity for three reasons. 1) It was the name of a character from the first project he felt any honest pride in. 2) The image he'd hoped to use as his avatar was a picture he took of “CJ” Carl Johnson from San Andreas wearing a masked motorcycle helmet which is the same look he originally envisioned for Mercen-X. 3) He wanted the people at Eyes On to see himself as Jack of Trades so they could approach him for creative insight.

Milikenko Rocker -- Tim - Believe it or not, his current username is a typo. It's supposed to be “Mikeneko” (Japanese for Calico Cat), and AC/DC's “Rocker”. Tim is his real-life name.

Miriel - Miriel is an extremely obscure character that very very briefly appears in Tolkien's Silmarillion and also is a word mentioned in the appendices of Lord of the Rings, meaning “jewel”.

Miss_Lulu - She likes Lulu and she's a miss. So you get Miss Lulu.

missaira - When she first joined EoFF, back in January 08, she was dating another member named Jiro, and so her username was Mrs. Jiro. They have since been through a break-up and she decided to make a name for herself as an individual person, rather than just being associated with him. And so missaira was born. Partly because one, she is officially a miss; two, because her name is Saira; three, because they just seem to go together so well!

MJN SEIFER - Signed in on another forum as “Michael Jackson's Neverland” but eventually shortaned to “MJN”. When he joined the FFVIII section in a forum called “GameTalk” the “Seifer” part was added so he could fit in better.

Mogi - Mogi is a name that Jessweeee? took to calling him so that she didn't have to type out Death By Moogles every time she referred to him. He doesn't like his real name, so they decided upon Mogi because it's nice, simple, and coot! His older name was based on a character from one of his old stories, and he can't remember anything about him. He changed it when he gave up on the project. His name changed from Death By Moogles to Mogi suddenly after he requested to have it changed to This Guy Are Mogi. The mods denied him, and a few days later he was named Mogi.

Momiji - Mainly chosen because it translates to 'Maple' or 'Autumn Colors' in Japanese (Momiji's favorite season), but it also is related to Momiji Sohma from Fruits Basket, Momiji from the hentai series Momiji, and momiji friendship dolls.

Mo-Nercy - Mo-Nercy doesn't mean anything. It's a vain attempt to be witty through a play on words (with 'no mercy'). The full name was once Mo-Nercy³, but a passing comment from Del Murder (which he probably doesn't even remember) encouraged him to lose the 'cubed' element, but the hyphen remains today in a desperate attempt to cling to his internet youth and innocence (symbols are cool, brah).

Moon Rabbits - Rabbits live on the moon, that is what his name means.

Myrn - Her username is her own name. It was also her grandmother's middle name.

Namelessfengir - Nameless is the main character from Jet Li's Hero, which he thought was a really cool character. It's usually one of two callsigns he uses during gaming (you were killed by nameless….). Fengir is a misspelling of fenrir, the name of clouds bike.

Namingway - According to the Final Fantasy Wiki Namingway is a Hummingway, and he appears in various towns around the world, often in the Training Rooms, and in the end even on the Red Moon in a cave full of Hummingways, which is where he originally came from. His purpose is to offer to change the names of various characters throughout the game. Characters can have their names changed multiple times. I can only speculate that he is this member's favorite character.

Necronopticous - “Necronopticous” is a souvenir from the pretense and stupidity of his adolescence.

NeoCracker - His first username, corncracker, he made ‘cause he had the line 'Jimmy crack corn and I don't care' stuck in his head, and he didn't really have a reason of any time to change it to Neocracker.

nik0tine - 'nik0tine' is just a pun on his actual name (Nick) which he came up with when he was like 14.

Nikki - Formerly NikkiNeurotic, she used that name because she wanted everyone to stay away from her, 'cause she's weird. Now she's simply known as Nikki, which is her real name. She's recently found out that her name means 'Victory', HUZZAH!

nirojan - This member is named after some long dead king back in the 12th century who apparently fell in love with the moon. As such he married a girl with the name meaning moon. Ironically he's also going out with a girl who's name translates into moon. Weeeird.

Nominus Experse - This user name spawned of a misunderstanding of the Latin terms nomine and experse. Though grammatically incorrect, the user has kept the name due to the nature of its cadence and rhyme.

noname - Orginally it was Kinji and then he changed it to Lennon after John Lennon his favorite Beatle. Then he changed it again to just 'noname' which means 'no name'.

NorthernChaosGod - He is a straight up badass, so shouldn't he have a straight up badass name? He listens to a lot of Metal and thought that this was a truly Metal name. One day he will be painted on the side of a “shaggin' wagon” holding aloft a mighty thunderbolt, and with a frightened, scantily clad beer maiden clutching his muscled leg for dear life.

o_O - He used to be called o.O because Sakura Yume convinced him it was better than o_O. Then he changed to o_O because he realised the truth. Originally he gained this nickname for saying it a lot when he was learning to program.

oddler - His username is from the game Shining Force II for Sega Genesis. Oddler was a boy that lost his sight and his memory and was then taken along for the ride with Bowie and the Shining Force. It's later revealed that Oddler is actually Odd Eye, a Greater Devil and second in command to Zeon. In the end, Bowie and the Shining Force defeat Odd Eye in battle and Odd Eye shows regret for living his life the way he did, saying that if he could do it over again, he'd want to live a life like Bowie's. He also went by Odd Eye instead of oddler here for a short period.

Old Manus - His username means he lacked imagination and creativity in creating usernames 6 years ago and chose a random word with 'old' in front of it. He clearly also lacks imagination when describing what his name means.

Omecle - “Omecle” is from a fantasy name generator that he needed for when Final Fantasy XI was released and decided it'd be a Internet-wide face for himself. Before that he was called “Emotion Sickness” from a favourite Silverchair song and before that he was called “Nutshell” from a favourite Alice in Chains song.

Ontibile - The name Ontibile means “My God watches over me.” It is from a story her mother used to tell her and her sister at bedtime.

Ouch! - It's a word. D;

Pant Leg Eater from the Bad World - This member used to be named IBPengwynz, and before that he was called IBCrayZ. IBPengwynz was a play on his name while IBCrayZ was because he finds himself doubting his sanity too often. One day after a couple months of being away he jumped on to EoFF to find that his name had changed. Luckily he's always logged in so he wasn't confused.

Parker - It is his IRL first name.

Proxy - He chose the name Proxy because of an anime, Ergo Proxy ,which in his books has an epic story and its just damn good, considering its only about 50 episodes.

Psychotic - It was because when he was 12 or so, being a Psycho was “cool” and “edgy”. “Wow look at me I'M A CRAZY KILLER!!!”.

Quin - Oh right. Okay, let's go. Imagine a little kid, 12 or so. He's got a RuneScape account, because it was cool in his school! Vodkahangbag was the name. Then, one of his mates gives him another account, name of Quintonir. The kid likes this name. Likes the account. Ditches the old one. Then Quintonir gets hacked, gets stolen. The kid loses it.

So, a new account is made. Pure, as he was the real Quintonir (lol except he totally wasn't xD). Quin, short for Quintonir (a name that the boy still uses for all online personas). 14, the kids age at the time of creation. As far as I'm aware, Pure Quin14 is all fine and dandy. But the kid eventually leaves RuneScape because the only reason he bothered with it was because he had some cool friends there.

In the hope of their finding him again, by some freak Google search perhaps - a naive hope, for a naive young man - Pure Quin14 follows the boy onto a new site he finds in his search for FF9 chocograph help. Oddly enough, this isn't his first account. Godzilla3001 is, but that was long forgotten and he was only reminded of it years later by Leeza, who merged the accounts. Anyway, Pure Quin14 stays in the FF9 forum for about a year. Then he ventures out and becomes the man you all know. He got rid of the super 1337 name, in exchange for puns! Glorious puns. But he is always Quin. Quin 'n' Tonic is made, after a delicious drink. So comes the custom title “Like God, but better…” with a big ass Jesus thing sig.

The kid decides to get a new pun every year. He becomes Harle-Quin and sports another of the late Owen MacWere's creations. Another year passes, and he wants to become Flambard D'Quinceteth. He can't take credit for this, however. By some bizarre coincidence, it was a random name his father thought up when he was in his twenties. Yet here, 30 years later, is the son continuing the name of Quin. The man enjoys coincidence, and wants to honour this bizarre circumstance. However, Leeza rejects it because she can't pronounce it (bull reason. The staff should change a name to whatever the member wants, assuming it isn't offensive.). Del Murder rejects it because it is too large for his imaginary character limit, which turned out to be a lie because he didn't have the courage or common courtesy to simply say he didn't like it.

Quin took this to the Feedback Forum, suggesting they edit the FAQ to tell members about this character limit. At this point Del fesses up. They argue, and Quin manages to get Del to change his name to whatever he wants one final time if Quin can provide an e-petition on EoFF in favour of it, as well as five proofs of e-petitions working. Quin successfully completes this task in next to no time.

However, in the process, there was demented uproar from a handful of members who are obviously :bou::bou::bou::bou:s. That's the c-word right there. Quin decides that he should, rather than annoy some people just because he can, simply change his name to something more basic. So he becomes Quin.

He currently sports a seal avatar and signature set, which he personally changes with his amateur MS Paint and Word skills depending on the happenings of EoFF at the time.

qwertysaur - He registered as qwertyxsora. He had an Ivysaur set at the time and people shortened his name to qwerty all the time. qwerty + Ivysaur = qwertysaur. During a Lucky event he got a name change prize and asked Leeza to change his name to qwertysaur.

Ragebrain The Enraged - The name comes from putting angry words together. Ragebrain seems to have more about him than meets the eye. Actually, he really did! It has since been found out that Ragebrain was demondude in disguise and has been banned… again. What alias will we see him under next?

Raistlin - Raistlin is a badass mage and overall awesome character from the DragonLance fantasy series by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. He selected the name when he was 12 as he was in the middle of reading the series, and it just stuck.

Rantzien - It was a dark morning when I closed the door behind me, stepped away from the shed I was living in at the time and set out on a journey that would not soon be forgotten. My cat, Mussolini, followed me as I walked the gravel path, or as I called it, the path of destiny… After walking several yards, I stopped and whispered to my cat: “This is it, Mussolini. One more step and it'll be the farthest from home I've ever been…“

Mussolini yawned. Then he started chasing a leaf. I sighed, looked forward with a forlorn expression on my face and started walking again. Before long I stumbled on my shoelace and fell face down in the gravel. I cut my head open and it wasn't long before my eyes were completely filled with blood. Of course, I didn't notice; I had passed out in a matter of seconds.

In my unconscious state a vision came to me. It might have been the mushrooms I was on, but it might also have been my first meeting with my spirit guide. Everything was blue and purple all around me, and out of the misty haze came… a goat. I asked the goat, “Where am I? Can you help me?” The goat looked at me thoughtfully and replied: “Baaaaah”.

Out of nowhere came a headless samurai! He lunged at me, swinging his katana and slashing it at my neck. The katana's blade must have been made out of rubber or something, seeing as it just kind of bounced awkardly against me. The headless samurai seemed to lose his posture as he let his weapon drop, slouching and looking as ashamed as a headless samurai possibly can. My neck still kind of hurt from the hard blow, so I said, “Owie”.

I looked at the samurai and was intrigued to see a face where his neck should have been protruding from his shoulders. It was not a very pretty face, in fact it looked a lot like Donald Trump. I didn't tell him this because I didn't want to further hurt his pride. Instead I tried patting his shoulder, but it made his cheek wiggle in an insanely awkward manner, so I retracted my hand. The face looked at me angrily and suddenly cried with fury: “Doooo not… talk to… GOAAAAAT!!! Raaaaantziiiiiiien!” I fell backwards in shock. “What was that”, I belched. “Ramp seen?”

The samurai suddenly exploded, but the smoke rose from where his body had been and formed letters, much in the same way that smoke usually doesn't. The smoke letters spelled “Rantzien”, which I wasn't the least bit interested in. But the goat walked up to me and started trying to eat my knee, which hurt. I slapped it in the face and it looked kind of sad.

I woke up in a hospital. Three nurses with ample bosoms were tending to me. I reached out my hand and felt the closest one. It was pretty nice. The doctor came up and slapped my hand away as the nurse fled the scene. He asked me my name. Still intoxicated by the warm, fuzzy feeling the groping had instilled in me, I replied what first came to mind. “Rantzien…“

And I have gone by it ever since.

Rase - Combination of Ryan (Rase) and Chase (his good friend). Prior to this name he was Dark_Paladin_Cecil because he really like Final Fantasy IV and thought a combination of Cecil's two forms would have been sweet.

Raven Nox - Formerly known as Gullwing, Raven Nox got her name change when she was 14. Being an Albel Nox (from Star Ocean 3) fangirl at that time, she stole his last name, which isn't creepy at all *cough*. Raven wasn't really picked for any special reason though, it was a name she kind of liked back then. She thinks that it might be time for another name change though. She's just not that into you anymore Albel.

Rebellious Eagle - She loves the Philadelphia Eagles and likes to pretend that she's quite a rebel.

Renmiri - It is one of the lyrics from the Song Of Prayer from Final Fantasy X. Just a subtle way to show they're a big fan of FFX.

Ieyui
Nobomenu
Renmiri
Yojuyogo
Hasatekanae
Kutamae

Robostar - His name is the Combo of Robo from CT and Starman.EXE from Rockman EXE.

Rocket Edge - His username was the title of his first drawing he did when he was 7. It was something having to do with a space-shuttle.

Rodarian - Ro is Japanese kana and represents the title of a family, like a surname. Darian is from his native tongue of Persian, which means “He Who Upholds the Good,Wealthy”. The name was taken from now defunct story called 'Knight of Nights'.

Roogle - His nickname is Roo. This is a fairly generic nickname, so he attaches the endings of others' names to make it unique. This results in a multitude of names in the event that he require a new or alternate nickname.

The nickname Roogle was created over ten years ago by attaching the ”-gle” ending from someone who went by Googleshng, or Google, for short.

Rozaheku - Rozaheku is a fantasy name they thought sounded cool.

rubah - rubah was a nickname given to rubah when rubah used to give nicknames to all of her internet friends that ended in -ah. The alternative was Allah, which she felt slightly inappropriate. rubah should never be capitalized if you can get away with it. It is pronounced “roo-bah”, but jokes about rubbers are not inappropriate. Ask Loony BoB to say it aloud.

Rye - Loony BoB conceived this name when young RikkuYuna89 became friends with him in #eoff. She then evolved to Rye!

Sagensyg - Secret Agency Guard Someone had made a retarded abbreviation to 'Sagencyg' but I didn't know what that was at the time, and had pronounced it Sah-Jen-Seeg so I replaced the C with an S to help the pronunciation. The screen name's stuck since 2005 so if you feel like stalking me any time, just type Sagensyg on your favorite web search or something!

Oh and totally disregard its meaning–I'm not part of any agencies. :)

Samuraid - Samuraid came from the fact that he wanted to get Samurai DBoy on DeviantArt, but DA doesn't allow spaces in usernames. Samurai DBoy came from an attempted mix of samurai and a Tekkaman Blade 2 character.

Sephex - This member's name is something he made up out of nowhere ages ago before he started to frequently use the internet. He just thought it sounded cool, and stuck with it. He wanted something unique and personal.

Sephiroth1999AD - He came up with his nick about 10 years ago. The nick was a tribute to what used to be his two favorite games back then, Final Fantasy VII and Chrono Trigger. “Sephiroth” refers to FFVII's silver-haired antagonist, and “1999AD” refers to the Day of Lavos in CT. After playing Final Fantasy IX, he sometimes used the nick Sephiroth1999AD_Trance, where “Trance” is a reference to FFIX's limit break mode, if you can call it that. However, he never changed his nick in EoFF; excluding gender swap days, he's always been called Sephiroth1999AD here. While FFVII and CT are no longer his Top-2 favorite games - though they are still among his favorite games - he hasn't been bothered to change his nick according to his current favorite games. Besides, he thinks it would feel strange to change the nick after all these years. :p

For those who don't want to type his full nick, many people online call him Seph1999AD (that's a form even he uses), or just Seph/Sephy/etc. His gender swap day nick was Garnet1999AD (Garnet from FFIX).

Sephiroth - This member used to go by the name of cetra1 but is now the fully fledged Sephiroth of the forums. Sephiroth is his favorite character from the Final Fantasy series.

Shadow Bahamut - “Shadow” because bad guys are cool and “Bahamut” because one of SB's favorite summoned monsters/espers happens to be none other than: Bahamut!

Shattered Dreamer - Shattered Dreamer's name refers to the way he always reaches for the impossible dream, the unattainable ideal.

Shin Gouken - Shin can be written using different kanji characters and can mean: 真, “true”, 伸, “extend”, 新, “new”, 心, “heart”, 信, “belief”, 進, “progress”, 慎, “humility”, 晋, “advance”, and 紳, “gentleman”. He thinks of it to mean “True”, and Gouken is a variation of the Japanese name, Gouki which means Chivalrous Demon. Simply put it means - True and Chivalrous Demon

ShinGundam - Word of shin “新” translate to “New” and Gundam is a popular giant robot.

Shiny - Shiny used to be called Shiny_Griever, The shiny griever necklace from Final Fantasy 8.

ShlupQuack - ShlupQuack = She doesn't know.

Shorty - Her original username, from 2001, was Demosthenes, taken from one of her favorite character's aliases in the novel Ender's Game. However, the spelling and pronounciation of “Demosthenes” stood to be too hard a trial for the good members of EoFF, thus resulting in her name change to something much more obvious and easy to spell - Shorty.

(She’s not terribly short - 5'3” is pretty average, right?)

sir helix - The sir bit comes from his Anglo Saxon origin, and helix comes from his personality. He's like a tornado, his personality tosses itself around.

Skyblade - His name comes from a book he read long ago. Which book it was is a secret.

smittenkitten - She is the luuuuuuuuuuuuurve kitten baby! <3

sora_lion_heart - Sora came from the ever popular hero of the kingdom hearts series, while Lionheart is the last name of Squall from final fantasy VIII. It is also a recurring weapon in games made by Square-Soft/Enix.

Spawn of Sephiroth - His name just something he though was cool 'cause he used to be an asshole to everyone, kinda like sephy, so it was more or less self describing, the spawn of sephiroth.

Suikojowy - His favourite game is Suikoden and his favourite character was Jowy. He combined the two to make his username.

superbeckie. - Her username (superbeckie.) stems from a joke with one of her friends. He was really ill once, and said he wanted some ice cream, so she said “Super Beckie will save the day with her ice cream or lack of thereof.”

SuperMillionaire - This member's screen name is derived from Super Millionaire, a spin-off of the game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

Tama2 - You know people ask me all the time, “How do you get so rock hard abs and why the 2?”. I usually tell them to shut the hell up. But I'm tired of it. From now on this will be their reference.

Taquadris - It's the last name of a Star Wars Jedi family, originates before the Old Republic. It's his own story, patent pending. 2 brothers 1 sister.

The Last Oath - At the time of making his username he was playing FFVIII. He liked the theme song “The Oath”, thus he is “The Last Oath”.

The Man - Stemmed from “Gilgamesh is the man” vs. “No, Gilgamesh is the man”. It is also interesting to note that Gilgamesh was his first avatar. There's also an Alexander Seropian (founder of Bungie) quote, “It is better to be The Man than to work for The Man.”

The Summoner of Leviathan - Summoner is one of his favourite of the classes and he always thought Leviathan was a pretty badass summon, especially in FFT.

The Unknown Guru - My name means exactly what you think it means: I am one with esoteric knowledge (a guru) who is not known well (unknown). Not very exciting, but it's what I chose, and I chose it so long ago that I can't really remember why.

The White Wizard of Fynn - When he first came here he was still experiencing his first playthrough of Final Fantasy II. The character of Minwu inspired him, hence the name (since he had the title of the White Wizard and played an important role in Fynn).

TheAbominatrix - She is TheAbominatrix. ShlupQuack created her name many years before EoFF. It's a combination of Abomination and Dominatrix, because she is a horrific individual and she dominates things… or somesuch.

themagicroundabout - The Magic Roundabout (known in the original French as Le Manège enchanté) was a children's television programme created in France in 1963 by Serge Danot. Some five hundred five-minute-long episodes were made and were originally broadcast between 1964 and 1971 on ORTF.

The series also attained great success in the United Kingdom. The English version was narrated by Eric Thompson, the father of actresses Emma Thompson and Sophie Thompson, and was broadcast from 18 October 1965 to 25 January 1977. This version of the show attained cult status, and was watched as much by adults for its dry humour as by the children for whom it was intended.

Timekeeper - Timekeeper's username is actually based off his avatar (a blue upside-down clock) which he created before joining EoFF. Timekeeper seemed like a suitable name to match his clock, and he doesn't plan on changing either of them.

Tokimadoushi - It is the Japanese translation of “Time Mage”, derived from FFV.

Tseng - The name Tseng for him sums up a few ideas which, when blended together, serves as a mobster motif whose meaning is personally relevant. Of course he doesn't regularly find himself stuffing bloated body parts into a hefty bag whilst brushing aside his slicked pomade filled hair! What he finds relevant is the practical adaptation of a 'mafioso' spirit. Being able to truly own of your pursuits, witnessing the rewards of your endeavors regardless of the struggle it may bring.

Secondly Tseng is from Final Fantasy VII, an experience that's had true impact on his views. How can a game have such an effect? He's not quite sure, although he would venture that it is consistent with any medium that brings you stories (fiction or non) which allow you to expose and exercise your basic human emotionality. Couple that with the age and vulnerability of his youth during that time and you have yourself a winner! Therefore that game is somewhat like an old smell: you cant always recall it all, but the slightest hint brings forth vivid nostalgia.

Ultima Shadow - When he first joined EoFF, he had obviously no idea how much time he'd end up spending here, and simply decided to combine the names of his favourite boss in the FF series: Ultima Weapon, as well as his fav character at that time: Shadow from FFVI.

Unbreakable Rocco - Formerly UnbreakableWill (on account of his name is Will), he decided to change his name to Unbreakable Rocco after his favorite character from The Boondock Saints.

Værn - He used the name for a character in a game 7-8 years ago. He liked it, so he kept using it.

VeloZer0 - Velo is just a random name he thought of when trying to come up with four 4 letter names for the original FF on NES. He liked the sound of it and kept it as a standard name he used whenever he had to name a video game character. He is aware that it means bike in French, but it has nothing to do with cycling.

Zero is a hold back from when he used to alias as BahamutZero online. Naturally this is a name that is usually taken on most game related sites he signs up for, so it had to change. He also adopted the '0' on the end very early in order to further increase the chances it wouldn't be taken.

He first put the two together when trying to create a WoW account in 2005. After many attempts to create an account name that wasn't taken he finally experienced success with 'VeloZer0'. He keeps running with it because to this day he has never once signed up for anything and had the account name already in use. He gets to keep the same name across PSN, LIVE or any other services and forums, which is awesome.

Vermachtnis - It's German for legacy. His first user name when he joined way back when was Omni Legacy, so yeah.

vinnie's mini's - The 'Vinnie' part is used because she is a complete Vincent fangirl and this part obviously represents him. The 'mini's' part was added because it rhymed with Vinnie and Chloe. (her cousin) and her always thought it was funny to imagine Vincent squashed into a mini and driving along.

Vivi22 - He was joining another forum some 10 or so years ago and wanted the name Vivi being an FFIX fan. Vivi was taken though so he added in the first number that came to him. 22 had the benefit of being easy to remember as well.

vivisteiner - This member's username is a combination of the names of his two favourite characters in Final Fantasy IX - Vivi and Steiner. He also loves Zidane but Zivivisteiner was a bit much!

Vyk - My name is actually really Final Fantasy related, for me at least. If a little (really) lame. See I was around when the original Final Fantasy came out. You know. When tables were made of granite, and we rode dinosaurs to the arcades and wooly mammoths washed our dishes and that sort of stuff. And I guess I was like …. 8 at the time? Not old enough or rich enough for this new fangled NES contraption. But I had an older brother. With one of those job things at the time. And he managed to get his mits on the system (more likely by stealing it, or by gathering money from other stolen goods). It wasn't one of the first games we enjoyed but it did eventually make it into our collection. And by pure luck of stupidity he decided his first team would end up being one of the most well-adjusted teams you could have. Fighter, Fighter, Black Mage, White Mage. He named them Krim, Krom, Duke, and Rose. Though for the longest time I always thought Rose was named Blaze. Guess having a bad memory doesn't just come from being an old fart. Because eons and ages down the way when “retro” became “in” and everyone was doing this new drug called emulation, I learned that characters in the original Final Fantasy could only have four letter names. SO um… Oh yeah, I looked up to my dear elder brother. So I acquired a fondness for his namings. And later in life I stole them for myself like a good little hoodrat. Except his names weren't good enough for me. Oh no no no. They needed to be spiced up. They needed to be special. They needed…. more letters. Krim, being the first of his characters, was the first name I decided to bastardize. And in my nefarious doings, I changed it to Krin. And changed its spelling to Qrynne. Why is this important? Well its not really. Except that if it weren't for some random turn of events where some douchebag had already thought up a name like that in one of my stone-age wanderings in some other community, you would all know me now as Qrynne. As it was the handle I used at the time for EVERYTHING ELSE. So! Failing that registry, I moved on to klepto'ing my brother's other fighter's namesake. Krom wasn't really that special either. It needed something more. Something more …. lettery! Vy sounded like a good way to spice it up. Vy Krom! Except I didn't do that. I made it one name: Vykrom. And I still go by that in many places. But all my cute little lazy online friends could rarely deal with the perspiration and exhaustion endured typing up all those letters! So most simply referred to me as Vyk. Hey Vyk. How ya doin Vyk? Whats up Vyk? (Really, I'm giving them too much credit. Mostly they simply grunted “sup vyk” y'know, in cave-man speak. Without capital letters. Or punctuation). The vast amount of Vyk this Vyk that was like some sort of twisted chinese water torture of laziness, so much that I eventually became more accustomed to my lazy-name, rather than my real name. And shamelessly I adopted simply those three letters as my registry handle in the last few message boards I joined. Shame shame shame.

Signed: Old Person (Vyk)

Whiffles - The name Whiffles began a LONG time ago. On a different forum when she was 12, her best friend and her decided to just make up a stupid name, go online, and be crazy. They picked a random word, not out of the dictionary but from some stack of papers they had laying next to them. The word was whiffle. After they looked it up, (“whiffle” means to suck or blow) they made it a dirty screen name, whiffle_me69. So she decided to recreate that screen name on here, only not with the intention of being a total ass to everybody.

When she first joined, she had a VERY unhealthy obsession with Rikku so her original username was ~Rikku's_Lover~. She eventually grew out of it though (she still likes her, but not obsessed) so she changed it to Whiffles.

Wolf Kanno - Wolf is a nickname he acquired from his grandmother 'cause she always felt he was shaggy and needed to shave more often, and the name kinda stuck.

Kanno is a reference to his favorite composer and musician, Yoko Kanno, who did the soundtracks to Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, Macross Zero, and Turn A Gundam, just to name a few titles.

Xaven - He was 13 at the time and threw some cool looking letters together. 2005 was for cool kids.

xXsarahXx - Sarah is her name.

Yar - It's short for Yaridovich. Yaridovich - idovich = Yar

Yeargdribble - He and a friend his used to read 8-Bit Theater regularly. In a particular strip (181) there was a monster making the sound “Yeargdribble.” His friend and him thought it was hilarious onomatopoeia. They used to go around saying it a lot. At some point he got frustrated with trying to get forum names and email addresses. He wanted to go with something unique enough that it was unlikely to be used so that his online identity could have some solidarity.

He started using Yeargdribble as his username almost everywhere except where he wanted some anonymity.

YTDN - It's an acronym of something, but they have long forgotten what it was.

Zeldy - She was just a massive Zelda fan. She made it “zeldy” over “zelda” to be somewhat unique!

Zorander - As in Zeddicus Zul Zorander, First wizard, grandfather to Richard Rhal and a alltogeather groovy bloke. Zedd is a charachter in the Sword of Truth series by Author Terry Goodkind.
